And you would be right - it's very cute!

For what it's worth, exactly what you described is exactly what came to my mind when I read your name!

Haha! I have a picture somewhere of Mandy (the Pug in question) posed in my VW bug as if she's driving it.

When I joined the forum, I drew a blank on what I wanted to call myself, and I finally put subject2change in thinking, I can ask them to change it later when I decide what I'd like to use. Well, that was almost 5 years ago! Anyway, I like to think I'm openminded and willing to change when need be, so it's a good name I guess. Not to be too philosophical, but everyone and everything is subject to change, whether we want it to or not.

Squirl was my childhood nickname. Since my brother was Monkey and my sister was Elephant, I always liked mine best! Sadly, all who called me that are now gone..... so I use it on myself.

Squirl lives on. Your story is very touching. I wonder if there's someone in your life that you can bestow this name on?

SAY IT AIN'T SO!

That dog is adorable, by the way. I love chihuahuas! My husband does not, so we have two ginormous mutts instead, but my 6'5" son has a tiny, four pound chihuahua and he's crazy about her. They look sort of ridiculous together, but at least I have a chihuahua granddog.

User names reflect a personality who is either a sociopath looking for anonymity or someone afraid that speaking publicly on an issue will subject them to personal danger. The only place I have ever used a phony name is in fantasy RPGs where a nod to mythology and fantasy is expected and part of the game.
