Over the years I've been close to some relatives at one point, then drifted away. Others I was never close to, then became closer to over time. What relatives are you closest and not closest to?
One niece that I'm particularly fond of. She lives far, too.
One nephew that lives here (husband's side).
That's about it. Most of the nieces and nephews and their kids, and my husband's siblings.... not close to any of them. But that's mostly because I'm not that family-oriented to begin with.
I'm only my maternal aunts (their husbands too) and their young children.
Haven't even met my paternal aunts and uncles (and their children), but if phone call or Facebook counts I guess I have.
I really want to be close to my maternal grandfather's side (his sister's children, who are grown adults with children themselves). I have so many nostalgic memories back in the day when we were close to them. *sigh*
