If we are rolling with in general: in general, as has been said, people do. It depends on an individuals personality. A psycho/sociopath can lie about everything, and believe their own lies. They cant remember them any better than anyone else but they will stand behind them as if they were written by the hand of God.
Lying is not a trait that centers around a particular gender, except maybe in regard to what they are lying about.

Good luck with this one. I have no idea. I have been lied to as well as lied to people. Since being sober, I have told little white lies to keep from hurting feelings, although a lie is a lie, right? I have tried to be as honest as I can be because I want to live my life treating others like I want to be treated and being honest with others and myself is something I have been working on.
Women are better at it, plus women are more apt for cover for one another. My wife says as much. I can't lie worth a damn for the same reasons I don't play much poker.
Some people lie more than others. Gender is irrelevant.
