From a totally white person- I sometimes envy the culture you have. Anyone with half an education would not stereotype you. If you are not attracted to a person of color-that's fine -we are all human. Search& find yourself-NOT your color. I think you will be so successful in what ever you do.
I'm glad I'm proud of who I am and don't have to deal with any self-hate issues.
True, Life is rough enough as it is without piling on yourself. I don't know if the OP is BS'sing us or not, I'd almost rather be ok with him screwing around with us than have it be a guy with some of these self esteem issues for real. Sad situation for the OP.
I feel so badly for you OP. Reminds me of a paragraph in 'Three Kings,' where Iraqi man tells (was it Mark Wahlberg or George Clooney?) that Michael Jackson felt the need to change his skin tone.

A horrible way for anyone to feel.
Well MJ was sick and had a skin disease that was making his skin spot up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitiligo
It started on his hand, where he started wearing the white glove. Finally, he just bleached his skin instead of living with the spotting. So he was just trying to make the best of an already bad situation.
I'm Asian and I see this a lot in the Asian community as well. Doesn't matter if it's Asian Americans or native Asians living in Asian countries. Life is hard enough as it is. I pity anyone who isn't comfortable in their own skin, where ever that insecurity may come from. This is when I'm glad I grew up in Hawaii. I had a lot of insecurity issues growing up, but none to do with race. Mostly due to severe acne and being so skinny growing up.
As a white male of European ancestry, I have to say, being white in the United States is definitely better than being anything else.
I'm not saying it's right, but that's the way it is in this country.
I don't think you should have to "secretly" wish you were white. It's like me saying I "secretly" wish I were a billionaire.
White people have a leg up in the United States. The poorest white people, when going up against the poorest black people for a job, will generally have an advantage.
Well-to-do white people (of which I am one) will often tell you that everything I just said is BS and you just have to work hard and "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," but that's a bunch of nonsense. They are white and have no frame of reference.
If you're born white in this country, you are born half way to first base. That's obviously not enough to score a run, but it's a good head start.
First of all, you should never be ashamed of who you are...
You should embrace who you are..
I get the judgement taht comes from people and it is cruel and ignorant however...You should not allow the ways of others to change your perception of YOU.
Youare BLACK..Ok? But you are much more than this you are you..unique..
I myself can identify in a way..I am a mutt lol...
I am half native american half mexican and my father is Irish..
I get pegged as everything but what I am..you name it...filipina, hawaiian, polynesian with freckles and yell, owish skin..go figure..My ethnicity intrigues people it bothers me but I am accustomed to the shallowness of people...
At the end of the day? You are you and should be proud.
My 2 cents
I seriously doubt that any non black person would ever sign up to be black (if there was ever such an option). As much as some like to pretend that white privilege doesn't exist, let's face, it does exist, and we know there are very real negative ramifications tied to being black.
