When you were a kid, as were your siblings...

Ever had the moments when you were in trouble with your parents, and as your Mom or Dad yelled for you, they called all your siblings' names by mistake? For example, if your name was Richard, and your siblings' names were James, Tom, and Karen....your parents yelled: "James..uh, Tom...uh, Karen...uh, dammit, whatever your name is, GET YOUR ***** OVER HERE NOW!!!"

Your story?

Oh yeah and I do it now with my dogs.

Once I called my husband who was giving me a hassle by my first dog's name which rankled him more than calling him my ex-husband's name in that same breath. Too funny. We laugh about it now.

Yep.
The funniest was a neighbor lady with three boys. She did not even try to call the proper name. She just yelled "Mark Don Keith" for everything.

Amen to that! I remember vividly my Mom addressing me by my first and middle name! I knew that I was in trouble

Mother-in-law frequently called her girls by each other's names. It was comical. She was a nervous sort who reminded one of Edith Bunker, even though quite bright and class valedictorian.

My gramma did it my, dad did it and in keeping with family tradition, I do it with my 9 grandsons and one son. Not so often with the three daughters and three grand daughters, but it happens.

Yes, my mom was very bad about that. Now I do the same thing with all my 3 girls, I'm so bad my dog's name come up in that list as well when I'm trying to call out. Sometimes, I just skip the process and go with "YOU. Yeah you."
