I've become very close to a young woman who lives in China.

We talk almost everyday via Skype but without the cameras. This has been going on for 2 years. She is real because we have spoken on the phone many times and she sends me pictures every so often.

Doubtful it's going anywhere or we will ever meet but who knows? I wish she was here but I am happy she is part of my life.
I'm closer to her than I am to anyone. She fills a void, that's for sure.

I've made new friends through facebook and most other sites that I have visited since I came online in 2000. I suppose it's no different than making new friends in person. Some have turned out to be dirtbags that I despise. Others have turned out to be great people that make me laugh, have made my life better, and I look forward to seeing.
