Again I have to disagree. I spent the weekend on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. After posting a pic a former classmate, who I have not spoken with in person since we were in the 8th grade, posted that he has a weekend house 5 minutes away. We just had a dialogue and his house is literally 1/2 mile from our friends and we will reconnect the next time we are over there.

There is nothing wrong with social media when people understand how to use it.

FYI:

Some people will withdrawal from someone they feel embarrassed for or about. It is crappy, but common. If you had true talent, she would be on you like a duck on a junebug.
Um, no. 235 views of me playing a prelude by an obscure 17th century composer in less than two weeks, resulting in mostly laudatory comments elsewhere online, and without my having built up any kind of audience on YouTube seem to indicate otherwise. My playing doesn't suck.

Do ducks eat june bugs? If so it must explain why I haven't heard any june bugs since I moved here as the ducks are quite numerous.

You have to love the vacuous response.

Maybe you should stop talking for a minute and go watch the video. I don't claim my playing to be flawless, but neither does it suck.

Notwithstanding the simplereminders.com link, my friend's weekly disappearances generally and the protracted one at the time I started the thread are entirely understandable; we've been in contact since then.

That is one short video! It is tough to guage since short and lacking good sound quality. Finger-wise it looked like practice to me.

Obviously, you are not even near Segovia, or Charo, or any virtuoso for that matter. If you were, I would be impressed and humbled. And you would have a million views over just a few...

(BTW, way back in my CD history, I posted videos of both of them. )

You are right, you don't "suck" at all. It was just blah.

You DO resemble in looks a combo of Peter Yarrow and Frank Zappa. Could that be a/the problem? I suppose that would depend on the female.

I thought the video was total crap, and, to Pickle, my friend...you have no idea how masses of woman swoon over Frank Zappa's good looks. He was totally manly - not a speck of sissy in him.

Anyway....I honestly thought the original poster's video was laughably awful and I would not say that if it wasn't for their incessant boasting.

I agree. That is why I said it really depends on the woman. I think Yarrow had his share of groupies, too. LOL!
