I think her behavior is something other than favoritism.

You know what...some folks might roll their eyes at this comment or laugh it off or think it's too harsh, but I kinda wondered the same thing.


I'm not exactly sure what my mother's mental condition is, I do know that she was diagnosed as bi-polar with PTSD after 9/11. And there have been some really really weird things going on with her since.


I believe that she is either well on her way to dementia-ville or something.


You may want to give your mom some slack...growing older isn't always easy.

OP, this is just a stab in the dark, but I wonder if Facebook, and family postings about their activities and products they buy and a general air of one upmanship there, have anything to do with the change in your mother's attitude.
