My parents say I can't drive until I get a job. But even when I do get a job, they say to take the bus. I am almost 30 years old, and I feel I will be 40 and still not able to drive or live my own life. I think my parents even though I have health insurance, and would have car insurance, under their plan, I would be safe, but they say due to crazy drivers, and me being a new driver, something bad will happen.

I really want to drive, I can run errands and do other things for my parents, but yet they won't let me. What if I forget how to drive, or even get scared to drive, because I haven't driven in so long. What do you think?
So, what have you been doing the past ten years since you graduated from high school?

Heck, all of the 18 year olds that I know who just graduated from HS a few months ago have jobs or are preparing for college or both. Ten years is a . . . l-o-n-g . . . , l-o-n-g . . . t-I-m-e . . . to just be sitting at home doing nothing.

I'm going to guess no, but he appears to no longer be allowed to play here, so we'll never know.

In 107 he won't say if he's male or female. I'm thinking male. Broneys are male.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around the idea of a 28 year old who parents are still making the rules and "forbidding" them from driving because they are afraid "something bad will happen".

I've got nothing . . . there will be a lot of people here that will encourage you to take charge of your own life and spread your wings, but I have a sinking suspicion that it will fall on deaf ears. You're 28, you don't have a job, and you can't even conceive of buying your own car, much less paying for maintenance and insurance.

SMH.
