Excuses. If you can't afford insurance, then you shouldn't have a car. Why in the hell would a parent put a 28 year old on their own car insurance? Have you NEVER worked? Is getting a job at 28 something that is new?

So what if they complain? It's YOUR job, not theirs. You're sliding out of responsibility and your parents are enabling you. No hope, here.
