I doubt anyone will be discussing politics but if they do I intend to preach a sermon as to why they need to accept Odin as their Lord and Savior.

My son in law's family are big sports fanatics so I doubt it will be a problem.

My gun is laying next to my dinner plate, if anyone has the nerve to discuss politics, I’ll cap his a##. Which would be true and appropriate since it is a cap gun.

I'm certain it won't happen at the table, but I expect it to come up before/after the meal. But that will be OTHERS discussing it.

I am NOT going to talk politics! I'll sit back comfortably with my drink and enjoy the circus.

If I wanted, I could get myself invited to dinner today, with a large family of close, lifelong friends. I'm sure that the discussion at the table would be along the lines of how we should enjoy the dinner and time together, because it might be the last. With the politics we have staring us in the face, we wouldn't be able to avoid the subject, even at a holiday dinner. From now on, I'm going to be thankful for each day as it comes and not count on anything beyond that.

Yep. It's just my wife and I, and we'll discuss it, since we're of like mind about it, just as we agree on absolutely everything

Hopefully not. But I'm guessing the conversation will at least briefly turn to politics. Just hope my liberal dad can behave himself. I'm not sure whom some of my extended family members voted for.

Probably so...
It's just my two siblings, my nephew and me (as I said before, not many of us left), and we all tend to agree politically speaking. We know that it won't resort to throwing Turkey drumsticks at each other.

I am a liberal snowbird eating with snowbird friends, pretty sure they all voted for Cheeto-head. I hope politics does not come up, if it does I will excuse myself and leave. Not interested in getting into a p*ssing match with anyone.

My mom and rest of family live out-of-state. Spoke to her earlier and she said she's making it a rule at today's dinner that absolutely no one is to bring up politics today at the Thanksgiving gathering.

And she says if they do anyway, then she's going upstairs to watch TV. Haha.
