NO, I can imagine my life without them! The average cost of raising a child is $245,000!

Having kids was the best thing that happened to (make that for) me. No regrets.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd have more. I love my kids and my grandkids and regret not having two or three more. My kids are the best thing I've ever done for this world.

Yes, I could not imagine my life without my kids. Best blessing ever.

That being said, I believe it's natural to regret not having kids, especially because you miss out on one day having grandkids. One woman I know is rather bitter about it and blogs incessantly. I think she grieves the "fantasy child" she never had. When you don't have kids that imaginary child is great looking, super popular, top athlete, top student, super successful, loving, really sky's the limit on how they would be. You don't imagine any limitations or difficulties or sadness that comes with disappointments. When your child gets old enough you realize you have no control over who they really are and can only guide them the best you know how.

Boring and pointless? Seems a bit overly dramatic. I don't have kids and while life may be boring at times it's certainly not pointless.

Those who have great kids are probably happy they had them and would do it again, and those who have nothing but trouble with their kids, or a very distant relationship, would not. And since admitting your children are awful and you wish you had remained child free is taboo, asking people for their honest opinion is futile.

Yeah…that was harsh. Everyone's lives are boring at one point or another. Face it most of life is filled with monotonous things that "have" to be done. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, checking mail, paying bills, doing laundry, taking showers, brushing teeth, waiting on lines, waiting on hold, etc. Yeah many things in everyone's lives are boring, lol….even when our lives are good

Fun comes in small doses. Then you appreciate the fun times. This happens whether you have children or not. Personally, I've always felt bad for people who only have an identity as a parent.
