Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the best section post in but I'll give it a go. With Christmas quickly approaching I'm wondering if people have any ideas as to what to get someone like parents for Christmas. Both of mine have everything they want/need and they also specifically said not to get them more stuff as they recently downgraded to a condo and don't want clutter. I took a look at shows to see if there were any I could buy them tickets to but none seemed like their style. Any good ideas?
No offense, but your question is far too broad to generate any useful suggestions. You should at least mention some of their interests or hobbies, ages, etc. "Parents" is a pretty broad category, you could have just said "people".
That being said, I really enjoyed the newest Metallica album, "Hardwired To Self Destruct". I'd recommend that.

LOL!
Yes, every parent, from the couple that are in their mid 30s struggling financially, with one child in diapers, one in middle school and another in college, would love it all the way to the well-off, well traveled retired couple in their mid 90s. Yes, a perfect all around gift suitable for all parents!
Gift certificates to their favorite restaurants, certificate for spa massages, facials, grocery certificates. Present them with a token stocking stuffer that goes with the gift. For instance, for restaurant certificates - Godiva After dinner mints, spa certificate - bath bombs, grocery - a fun shopping bag.
Restaurant gift certificates, donations to a charity in their name, wine-of-the-month or something similar (flowers, puzzles, fruit...many places have a monthly or quarterly delivery).
Do they enjoy tv/movies? Movie gift cards or, if the don't already have a smart TV, a streaming apparatus (roku?) along with a subscription to Netflix or Amazon prime or acorn.....

Well, I'm a parent in my mid 30's and I liked it! I still haven't figured out what to get my 80 year old grandpa yet. I think that problem just answered itself since he is also a parent.
OP - With people who are older and don't need more stuff, stick with things that are consumable or disposable.
Some examples: Wine, liquor or beer and specialty foods. Gift certificates for meals, movies, pedicures or massages. Or things like an orchid, scented candles or personalized notepads or cards.
Parents never think portraits of their kids are clutter. There's always room for at least one more....
