Why do some people label anyone with a complaint, valid or not, as a "whiner" or "cry baby"?

Of course we can't change jobs sometimes for several possible reasons. And then there are people who are happy enough in their jobs, but like to complain about daily occurrences at their jobs.

And, of course, losing weight is really hard but usually doable.

I was always taught to "keep your nose down" and that things eventually always work themselves out, if you're in a bad situation.

I've learned this is not true.

Sometimes in life, you have to stand up and say, "This isn't working" and change course. Just going along with things is not the right decision in many cases.
