There are many issues I have with my dad. Many that I overlook. But there are some things that can't I overlook and won't forget. This is one such time.

He owns three cockatails. The female, which is getting up there in age, has always had a deformed foot even when he got her at the pet store. Today though my mom dropped her by accident and we realized she wont put any pressure on the deformed foot and im concerned she isnt drinking as much. My dad, who has the money for a pet visit, could bring her to the vet. But he doesn't and won't. This brings me back to the time when my beloved cat Chloe had medical issues and I footed the bill for her and had a psycho sister and dad cry when I had to put her down even though they never once took care of my cat or loved it. And when my cat was dying my psycho dad thought he should take pictures of it. Im like how *** psycho can you be to take a picture of an animal in pain? Im pretty sure that serial killer status.

So going back to today, the treatment of this bird reminds me of how he treated my cat. Im unemployed, and dont have alot of money in my bank account. Im about to the point of going to the vet myself.

At the very least I just needed to vent because it just pains me to see how selfish he can be. It pains me to see the bird just sitting by itself. It doesnt seem the bird is in pain, but I know birds are good at covering that up. The two male birds are by themelves while the female bird is at the bottom of the cage on cardboard with food, water, millet, and calcium nearby.

Gosh I can't wait to finish college and be able to get a good job and move out and get a cat of my own again. i feel bad for the two dogs we own. i wonder if my dad values the dogs more than the birds and if thats the case, thats pretty messed up too.

If you really believed you were living with a "psycho" sister and a "psycho" dad you would move out for your own safety.

Moved as this is about the family, not the pet.

Good news, the bird seems to be doing better. the other birds are keeping it company and we saw the bird drinking and eating and slowly moving with the injured foot. maybe it needs time to heal?

Why doesn't your mom take it to the vet? Why does he decide?

I will say this:

It seems most people value dog's more than other pets.

I cannot explain it.

For example,my sister who loves and pampers her dogs laughed when I told her my car died.

It was painful to say the least.
