Most parties start with people coming over around 6pm and go to 2am or later. A lot of the people arrive at different times. I had a party start at 2pm and my cousin asked if it was okay for her to come at 9pm. I said "no" but that made me the odd man out. I just can't talk to people that long, plus I get tired around 8pm...... I'm an 80 year old in a 50 year old body.

Okay, I won't feel bad about it only lasting 4 hours. I think that is just the right amount of time, and pretty good because most of us hadn't met each other.
Seems to me that was an inconsiderate question from your cousin, and you were well within your rights to say no.

However, 2:00 p.m. is an odd time, so I can see how it would get out of hand.
