The interest rate from your debt is probably WAY higher than any interest your savings account may be earning. Pay down some of your debt with it.
Anyway, if your friend is as close as you say, she should be fairly aware of your financial situation. If not, explain to her that you wish her the best but can't afford the trip.
People that have destination weddings should not expect people to go. They should send invitations to those they love and be happy with those that decide to spend their hard-earned vacation time and money to be there, and OK with those that don't or can't.
She needs to chill out. Many people get one or zero expensive vacations per year, it's the height of arrogance to order somebody else to plan their vacation around your wedding.
If I was her, I would not let a friend or family member not coming to my wedding ruin my day. She'll live.
