Ever gone out and gotten drunk around other people? (wife, girlfriend, brother)

Is this a serious question?! Lol, probably a hundred times. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t. I don’t drink anymore but in my younger days obviously.
The poll results have been in the 20-25% range since day 1, yet some people are incredulous at the question, like they've never known anyone who hasn't gotten drunk. People live in different worlds apparently, with presumably the ones who have hardly been drinkers being the opposite of social butterflies. This being an Internet forum, my stay-at-home type probably is overrepresented.
My personal opinion, which this thread isn't meant to be about, is that nobody should drink.
Your first post got my suspicions going, your 2nd and 3rd posts made it obvious. I figured somewhere later in the thread you'd admit it.
I've been drunk many times with friends and don't plan to stop that anytime soon. Some of the best times of my life have been while drinking with good friends. No tee-totaling friend of Bill W will ever convince me otherwise!

I might be misinterpreting what you're implying, but I wanted to point out that just because one is a stay-at-home type doesn't mean they don't get drunk, and just because someone enjoys going out (even to bars) doesn't mean they drink all that much. Some people are always DDs, for various reasons.
A more informative poll ( I think, for your purposes) would have been “ Have you ever been drunk?”. I believe there are plenty of solitary drinkers out there. Sad but true.
In any event, that would provide a more accurate reflection, from this forum anyway. I agree that anti-socials are definitely over-represented here. So keep that in mind.
For what it’s worth, I’m not sure I know any drinkers that have never been drunk. For me personally, it is a rare occurrence now. ( Not so rare in my younger days LOL!). I still drink, but it’s very infrequently. My BF has never touched alcohol in his life. I consider that a positive thing, generally. ( And he IS ex military- a marine.)
