I buy a book of stamps. Never paid attention to what the stamps were and never cared. They are just stamps. I always write "In God We Trust" under my return address. If that offends some one -- too bad.
Is it possible for someone to be offended by the choice of postage stamps you use on an envelope or package? For example, if one were to mail out a letter with an Alzheimer's stamp on it and someone in the recipients family was afflicted with it, would that unwittingly impose sorrow upon the recipient? Likewise, if one mailed a letter with a stamp of a politician or activist the recipient didn't agree with ideologically, would the recipient be offended and form a negative impression of the sender? Do you all mail letters with holiday themed postage to people you are unsure whether or not they celebrate the holiday?
People take offense too easily. They will either get over it or die mad.
I was at the post office recently and needed stamps. She gave me a choice between the flag ones, and bigger, rather garish ones with 'Hot Wheel' designs. They were really ugly and she told me they were the 'last ones' like she wanted to get rid of them.
I think they're silly looking so I'm saving them for when I have to write people I don't like

Why do you write that, it’s not money? Why not write something that shares your belief, such as God bless you or have a blessed day? Just curious what your purpose is.

I actually ordered cute stamps online what I needed stamps once. I ordered Disney villains. The stamps were cute, but they were ginormous. They took up half the envelope so I never used them. Now I get whatever they have, LOL.
I'm not one to worry about trivial things like this. I bet 95% of the "recipients" never even bother to look at the stamps. And most of the folks, like me, don't look at whats on the stamp when we put it on the envelope. As far as I'm concerned, all it shows is I paid to mail the letter.

It is my belief. I trust in God. I could of said May God keep you in the palm of his hand but In God We Trust is shorter.

Does anyone remember the book of stamps that had animals? I think there were dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles on them. Should I have saved the snake ones to mail out to the utilities company (bills, specifically)?
