The best thing about my best friends, is that they are always there. Always. Four girlfriends, for 30 years, and I could call any of them at any time...and they'd pick up the phone. Even if they knew it was me calling.
This is no particular order...just as I think of it.
1.They are honest.
2.They are loyal.
3.They are self effacing.
4.They are hard working.
5.They are funny.
6.They rejoice in the small things.
7.They appreciate what they have.
8.They are not envious.
9.They are hysterical.
10.I never have to explain myself...they "get it".
11.They are all like family.
12.They are there for me regardless of the dumb things I do.
13.They have good taste!!
My best friend has a million amazing qualities, most of the ones listed above included. I also love that she always gets me laughing, no matter how bad things are... one time I was seriously at the end of my rope just freaking out about how awful my b/f at the time was and she said in a dead serious voice "feed him undercooked pork, he can't bug you if he can't get off the toilet" I swear I laughed for a good hour until I seriously was in pain. Just the mental image still cracks me up. I also love that we both have crazy lives and live 3000 miles apart, but we will both drop everything if we need eachother. We could go a year without talking (not that it's happened) and just pick up like we didn't miss a thing. She's the best.
You never have to explain yourself? They just get it. Wow I wish I had friends like that. Practically everybody I know except my parents has a "Duh I don't understand you" attitude...lol.
