I'm 6-0 and feel short. I am also quite wide, which makes up for my lack of height.

Yeah, I always thought the average was 5'-10," which is exactly how tall I am. I wish I was 6'-0," but not much taller than that, probably because of all those pyschological studies they do on height and how people perceive your credibility or authority accordingly.

I am 5'6" and I always wanted to be 5'10"  My husband is 6'3" and is the shortest man in his family  The men are very tall on my side too. My 15 year old just hit 6 feet and he feels like a "freak"...his words, not mine!

The average is supposed to be just a shade over 5'9" for guys. I heard 5'9.1" before even, but every study I've seen has just over 5'9". I am 5'10" so also roughly average. I have a few friends about my height, a few friends taller. Only one who is shorter I think. Of my close friends: 5'10", 5'7", 6'2", 6'1" and 6'4". So I have a few very tall friends, haha.
