little late to the party. no facebook. I had a myspace through my junior year of high school. I deleted it abruptly one day and never looked back. Everyone in college has a facebook, exactly the reason I don't. Heck, I've been trying to cut back my visits here too, but it's good to talk with strangers about things you normally would keep to yourself. It would be cool to see who was searching for you without having an account though.

I just have no desire to join Facebook. I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all.

Around a 180 or so.

They are People I have worked with, friends from various stages of life. People I went to school with. Common interest. Family.

Delete them or ignore, block their request or whatever. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

I have about 750 friends.

They are people I know from preschool through college, various sports teams, neighbors, friends of friends, camps, etc. I'm even friends with some clients.

A buddy of mine hounded me into getting a FB account six weeks ago. Since then, I have gotten 142 friends. It's really amazing, because all I did was pick out 5-6 people, and the rest found me.

2. Some people just know a lot of people and have several networks of people to glean from.
3. If someone irritates me, I defriend them or block them.

Personally, I love facebook. It can seem like a popularity contest. It can be, if you want it to be. For me, it's an introverts paradise. I can keep up with nearly all of my new and old friends no matter where they live. That's so valuable to me.

1) How many friends do you have on Facebook?
Last time I check, it was 205, but I also just signed up a couple months ago.

2) How is it that some people have hundreds of friends on Facebook?
Oh, I actually know them all. I do have over 500 friends on Myspace though. Its not as personal.

3) What do you do when someone irritates you and you no longer want them as a Facebook friend? How is this best handled?
You block them.
