I'm a white Irish dude. One time I was in an elevator and this Mexican/Hispanic guy starting speaking to me in Spanish. So I politely said "No hablo espanol", this guy turns to me and starts literally berating me for denying my "heritage" I told the guy look I'm a white boy, my girlfriend is half Mexican if that makes you feel any better.
