I am very frustrated with my brother! My brother is 43 years old and for whatever reason he doesn't work. Our father passed away somewhat unexpectedly in Feb. which really through our whole family. My brother did work a family landscaping but my dad was the brains and organized the thing and my brother just will not or cannot seem to do anything now. He has no health insurance and lives with my mother who supports him 100 percent. I grant you he is helpful to my mother who needs help with the house and animals which I am greatful for but come on.... He won't file his own taxes, he won't buy any of his own medication she even pays for his cigarettes This frustrates me so much as my brother and mother both have a political agenda against welfare etc. and here my bother is sponging off my mother!! I guess I shouldn't get so mad but I do!!

Your mother and father made your brother into the man you see before you.

Let it go, move on with your own life.

Yeah, give it up. Bro's a lost cause, and mom gets something out of being his rescuer.

But my brother's got yours beat. He is 49, hasn't worked for 29 years... lives with mommy who just can't make him seem to stand on his own feet. Her problem, not mine.

Wait till mom dies... then bro HAS to do something. Even if it's living in the gutter.

We never really know why people do what they do. He is what he is, love your life, love your brother, and your mother. Do not worry about your brother not working or your mom supporting him. Just be the best you can be.

My last company I used to work for there was this one guy there. He lived with his parents until he was around 42. This guy lived there rent free for yrs and yrs. He made decent money but was cheaper then hell. He also pretty much took most of his paychecks and invested wisely in the stock market. He bought a house with cash and as far as I knew was a millionaire.

Still, I couldn't have lived like that for 20+ yrs. Go to go out with a woman and what you gonna do, bring her back to your parents house. Good grief.
