I was part of a ski organization whose members are over 40 and we partied very hard on vacation. However, at home, due to responsibilities with family, work, etc., we can't and don't want to go out like younger folks.

I enjoy going out every now and then but IMO, there's too much emphasis on drinking and "being seen." It's seems very superficial. I'd rather go out and dance, which doesn't seem to happen much anymore (well, at least in NYC, anyway).

You got it

Me-49, Hubs-50 and we are loving our empty nest! I've realized how great it is to have kids while young, because you will still be young when you get your nest back

We are having a ball and YES we party down all the time. So do most of the people in our condo building, and we are probably the youngest couple. Just yesterday our one neighbor hosted a fabulous party. Great food-- gourmet style, an entire case of campaign, assorted wines, beers, etc.

Let the good times roll

No more "partying down" for me.I have lost my patience for drunks. Give me a Diet Pepsi. A little Ganga. A crossword puzzle book and a hot foot soak and I'm a happy senior citizen!
