Well! To tell you the truth, I WANT one of those new monster washers and dryers with the storage drawer on the bottom and all those bright digital settings, in RED.
j/k. I'd have to move out of my house just to get those things in the laundry room space.
I have never, ever, had any husband/boyfriend or my son EVER think of a Spa certificate and I hint and hint but somehow they are totally DEAF!
I'm taking my mother gambling! :-)))

Guys are just clueless sometines. You can't hint - you just have to come right out and tell them what you want. They are wired differently than us babes! LOL

FINALLY! A woman who understands! Please talk to my wife. I continue to tell her that I don't get her clues and hints. I sometimes get them, but more times than not they fly by. I'm a smart guy by most standards...until I start trying to figure out what she is "really" saying.
So here's a question: what about a GPS navigational system for her car? Is that a good gift? I've done the spa thing a few times, jewelry more times than I can remember. She tells me a girl can never have enough jewlery, but then I don't see her wear it. So why should I buy it if it stays in the jewelry box?

That depends. Would that be like perpetuating the myth that women can't read maps? In other words, would she be insulted-or could you say it may come in handy for the next family vacation?

Hooo.. You need to buy BETTER jewelry. IT then goes into the bank's safe deposit box, not in a jewelry box at home.
Hey, you wanna send some of your ideas over to my SO? He admits that I really, really need a GPS because I am VERY disoriented when it comes to driving around but he quickly discards that idea because since I need reading glasses, he says I won't be able to see anything (I don't wear glasses for driving).
Don't they have those things now that just TALK to you? Tell you what to do out loud? I don't care if it's a sexy voice. Just tell me where to go! Then I don't have to worry about seeing street signs at night.

Mother's Day Suggestions
Hoosier,
If she says she likes jewelry, and she has been happy with it in the past, I think you should get jewelry. Does she really NEVER wear it or just not as often as you would like to see her wear it? If she wears it at least sometimes, get jewelry. Maybe I'm biased-jewelry is MY favorite gift!
My other thought is to take the kids and with your guidance have them select something themselves for Mom.
Other than than, like MissyM mentioned earlier, clean the house. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just neat and "straightened up."
And this is just me...you know your wife, I don't like the GPS idea much. Too practical, but again, that's just me!

Year before last I got a big gas powered weed eater!! One other year I got a roto-tiller!! This year I hope he takes my car and gets the tires rotated for me. The first year we were married (no children yet) he was very thoughtful and sent me flowers C.O.D. I will let you know what I get this year.

I like jewelry personally, it doesn't have to be expensive, I love costume jewelry, a locket with a picture of my family in it or something like that...
I once dated a guy who bought me a matching pin that had a heart shaped locket and cupid on it with earings that matched, it was costume so it didn't cost alot. He took the time to put his own picture in it...even though he and I broke up years ago I still have it...
