toxic relationships can be endured by self medication. of course long term you end up with something far worse than toxic relationship and probably end up alone as well.

In some cases, im sure this is possible..but, ultimately, it is one's choice as to how they deal with stress brought about by another...and yes, i'll admit that i have had a couple of these experiences...Mainly after finding out an ex GF i had feelings for had cheated..It's no excuse for my actions just how i chose to deal with it at the time...

Now, if the GF wanted to have a little drunk action some night..Id definitely drink a few more then normal to that..lol

I think the stress of a horrible relationship may lead someone to start drinking or indulge more than normal. Too many people turn to drugs when they get stressed out. A downward spiral, IMO.
