He had the choice whether or not to accept her add request, so that was her answer right there.

Um...no. Considering that I'm her relative and the one that she actually knows, she should have taken my feelings into account and made sure she consulted with me. He might have just thought that it would've been rude to ignore a request from a relative of mine who had been a guest at his party. Or, he might not have even remembered her because he accepts random friend requests also.

I don't go to her page and add guys to my friends list who flirt with her. For all she knows, I could be hooking up with this guy. She and I don't see each other or talk that often so she doesn't know every detail of my life. She just didn't bother to ask me for clarification on our relationship before she added him. She's not just some random chick on my page, she's family, and I just think what she did was totally shady and disrespectful.
It sounds like you and your cousin need to do a better job of communicating. You're making an awful lot of assumptions. How do you know that they didn't talk more at the party? How do you know that they didn't run into each other after the party and realized they had something in common (in a platonic sort of way)? You don't know these things because you don't communicate. That's a two way street.

Maybe you should call and talk with your cousin (rationally) about this. And probably change your privacy settings if it bothers you this much.

But just out of curiosity....does this guy friend have a lot of females on his profile and do you get this bent out of shape when they get added to his list?

Yes, but more important, you're acting crazy.

you seem to assume people would act and do what you would do. it probably never even dawned on your cousin that she should be worried about asking your friend to be friends on FB. stealing your friends is a very immature way to think about these things. expand your horizons, life isn't always about you

My sister has this stupid farm thing on her facebook. If I were to join FB, could I steal her farm animals?

I alway's wanted the obligation to take care of a cow on the internet.

If you do, you should probably ask her first because it's only right
