Default Just Curious - Any Other Texans Moving to North Carolina?

I see so many people posting here from NY, NJ, MA & CA but so far have not noticed any other Texans planning to relocate to NC. Surely I can't be the only one!

Cool Leaving TX!

Hi Redrover,
We're from the Keller area (outside Ft. Worth). We've had our house up for sale (FSBO) for about 2 1/2 months. Have a house lined up in Concord and VERY anxious to leave here. The taxes are so ridiculous in Tarrant Cty and the smaller suburbian feel is gone because everyone and their mother are re-locating here. Plus the hubby does Air Conditioning and the very hot TX months have taken a toll on him. Of course NC has the humidity/heat, but it doesn't last as long...

You can (I hope) count us in soon! We're in the Dallas area right now but my husband's currently looking and we're hoping to move East within the next few months. North Carolina is our first choice as we have family in the DC area and S. Carolina and want to be closer to them.

This is the worst place to live!!!! People are rude, crime is high. It's HOT almost all year. The humidity is awful. There are no mountains, did I mention how how HOT is is?????????? I might have been born here, but I'm leaving as fast as I can!

Houston has some nice suburbs in my opinion. I really like The Woodlands. It is probably where I would live if I moved to the Houston area. I considered it before moving to Charlotte. I wish Charlotte had an area comparable to The Woodlands.

Moved to North Carolina about a year ago, from Baytown, Texas. Baytown is about 30 miles east of Houston. We love it here. We live in Franklinton, NC, just north of Raleigh. The air is clean and crime is very low compared to where we are from. I wont put down Texas, lived there over 35 years, but it is much better here. So much is within a few hours drive. I was wondering myself how many people from Texas has moved out to North Carolina.
