In the major metro areas, Charlotte, The Triad, and the Triangle.... Not much. In some of the more rural counties there are though.

Go in to the cities...and I'm not just talking "in the city limits" but I mean IN the cities. Where you'll still find the traditional urban street grid with homes right on the street with sidewalks and open access to the rest of the city.
We don't need no stankin' subdivisions!

Hi Rob,
She needs a place that allows multiple dogs and cats, sans city ordinances, HOA's, prohibitive zoning or deed restrictions, and isn't looking to move into the city, or a suburb thereof with subdivisions that have the same aforementioned restrictions. In fact her first question was : "where are some of the more RURAL towns? "
Her second question was:
"Are there any nice areas without homes in subdivisions?? They're everywhere!"
Capish? <VBG>
Regards,
Cassie

Ah. How many are we talking about? I got three cats...I hope that's not enough to trigger any city ordinances!
