Default Cruising outta NC?

We are relocating to waxhaw this month. We are leaving Long Island where we usually cruise atleast once a year. We like to drive to our port rather than fly sooooo I was wondering what ports would be within driving range of Waxhaw? I already know about the FL ones, but what else is there? Virginia? S.Carolina? thanks in advance for any advice.

Check the cruise carriers, they will tell you what ports they go out of. LA used to be a port too, unsure now due to hurricane area.
