NY College Grad looking for work
Hello,
My name is Mariya, and it has been almost a month since I have moved to uptown Charlotte from New York City. I am looking for work in the field of finance, but my lack of relevant experience is a big detriment, despite a 3.71 GPA, numerous extracurricular activities, and a keen understanding of today's markets. Although I have partaken in internships in school, a bulk of my experience is military (not ROTC, but another college program for lieutenants in the USMC). Having completed the non-commitment program, and gaining the leadership experience, I find myself horribly unprepared for the competitive Charlotte market.
Currently I am studying for the GMAT, so that I may continue my education, however, if my goal is to get accepted into the top business schools, I must have at least 2 years of solid experience with a good company.
