Default Goldsboro, NC

I am moving to Goldsboro, NC. I am looking for information on what areas to stay away from as far as renting. I am looking for an affordable, but safe place to rent.

As a zip code, there is not anything to really worry about if you focus on 27534. 27530 is zip code for the majority of Goldsboro and runs the gamut on quality of places. There are wonderful places within that zip code like Rosewood. Like most places in the south, you might want to stay away from the areas directly surrounding downtown/central Goldsboro. Have you been to Goldsboro? The areas to stay away from are painfully apparent. You can view a zip code map here:

What is affordable for you? Are you looking for a house or apt?

You also posted this in the wrong forum. Goldsboro a weird location right between the coastal plain and the piedmont so your thread is best served in the general NC forum. It could do in the triangle or coastal forum as well, but definitely does not belong here.

Open up your search to Dudley and Mount Olive. AT&T is outside of Goldsboro proper on 117 S. There are some newer apts off five points rd in the vicinity of your job. Laurel Pointe apts off of new Hope rd should fall into your price range, but will be a slight commute in the morning (15-20 min). There are also some nice apts off of 117 Alt in Mt. Olive close to the intersection of US 117 and NC 55.
