The climate here is the best year around weather pattern east of California BUT you should pay a visit in the Springtime to see how you deal with the pollen. It is horrible.

Smile Lenoir Area

I live in Lenoir N.C. and love it!! We lived in Hickory for 7 months and found the rents higher there.
I'm retired and my wife now works for the county in Lenoir. The plus for Hickory is that there seems to be alot more places to go to, however we are closer to the moutains I love them.
A big plus for Lenoir is they are completing a super Wal Mart. They also have a Lowe's right down 321 towards Hudson. It's only 1 mile out of town.
We lived in California most of our lives, and often wondered why we didn't make the move sooner had it not been for family. Rents are by far much cheaper. Our house we rent would cost you $800.00 to $1200.00 a month easy. WE pay $575.00.
We rent from a management company, but they seem not to want to do things that need to be done, so I won't give you their name. Yes I will!!! Foster Management is their name. They are very nice, but I won't recommend them

We moved to NC and bought a home in Hudson late November and we love it. We are in FL now for a few days bringing the little things that was needed when we lived in both places. Closing on our fL home is April 10th.
Having lived in CA for 25 years we find going to Hickory a short trip with to us little traffic after living in CA and going up the mountain is just as fast. We are so glad that we made the move to Hudson. Nice people some I met on this board, and close to shopping and also the new super Walmart a few miles away. I can't wait to get home.
I hope that you are talking about the above post.

Lorrie
