What are your opinions? Which is better Florida or North Carolina? Which do you think would be make your child more college ready? If you could live anywhere in North Carolina that had good schools, low crime and had a small town feel, with shopping not to far, where would you live? House range to $250, with a good yard and houses not on top of each other. We like mountains, lakes, ocean doesn't really matter. We want a place safer than where we are and schools that are going to teach not just for a test? All opinions welcome. Thank you

I am not knowledgable on schools in Florida to comment on their school systems. However, there are some GREAT schools in NC. Johnston/Wake Counties have received HIGH praise in the performance. And so have Charlotte area schools. And as more people relocate there, it seems like the quality increases. Sure they have overcrowding issues, but they are working past them and are growing to become better.

I am not sure how Florida is. But I know that they aren't just worried about state standards in NC. The school that I attended there was very similar if not better education quality wise and competition wise than my school in NJ. I hope that helps.
