Waxhaw, NC in Union County which is 16, while Davidson, NC in Mecklenburg County is 17. Considering that is for a period of 53 years, I wouldn't be concerned about living in either area for that sole reason.

Was thinking the same. Does it show if those were a F0-F5?

Also, it is just me or when you quote, the "view posts" is missing its GIF file (viewpost.gif)?

They don't say by location, but in general over 80% are F0-F1 statewide. Never had a F5 as far as I can tell.

I'm missing the graphic for "view post" too.

Someone removed it out of the image folder on the server. Maybe a quick email to let them know

Looks like Emerald Ilse gets the most for that graphic! I'm suprised, but I'm wondering how many of those are actually waterspouts...those can have a different effect with the added water even if one's considered an F1 tornado.

But it looks like our area is generally a low-acticity area.

I'm always watching the weather channel and am intrigued by tornados. I dream about them several times a year. I was wondering, TornadoAlley, why the interest in tornados in this area? Just curious.... Are you considering/are a tornado chasing person?
