Default Driver's License Change

I just moved here from New York and i was told I have to change to a NC driver's license within 60 days. However, I still own my home up in NY, thus I can still claim that address. Do I still have to make the change. I want to avoid the taxes of switching over if at all possible.

Is there a website with these guidelines?
