I started receiving NC UI benefits in July 2009.I received a notice, I believe a couple of weeks ago, stating that I am eligible to receive 4th tier benefits and filed my weekly certification this past Sunday. I received no check on Monday and my status reads benefits exhausted ??
I have the following questions :
[SIZE=2]1)Would I have gotten a letter stating that my benefits were about to expire ?
2)Why would it let me file my weekly certification if I had no funds left ?
3)Why does my benefit amount now show $321.00 from $361.00 ? ( Every payment I received this year was for $361.00 ) Wouldn't I have received a lesser amount on my very last payment ?
As far as I can calculate I have not received 99 weeks , probably 90 at most.
[quote=c87874;17408080]The amount dropped because one of the extension plans expired, so the amount of that extension fell away. It happpened to everyone.
I know the additional $25.00 benefit expired but my base dropped to an amount that I was never even paid. Example :
My old claim status looked like this :
Benefit Year Start: 06/06/2010
Benefit Year End: 06/04/2011
Weekly Benefit Amount: 361.00
Earnings Allowance: 72.25
Active Issues: No
My new status since I haven't gotten any money looks like this :
Benefit Year Start: 06/06/2010
Benefit Year End: 06/04/2011
Claim Status: BENEFITS EXHAUSTED
Active Issues: No
Unemployment Insurance (UI) UI Weekly Benefit Amount: 321.00
UI Earnings Allowance: 64.39
