At 3 NC has more than other state in the south east. The places include Pea island, Cape Fear River Basin, and the Snowbird Mountains.

What saddens me when I read about the damage we continue to do to our habitat is that we fail to understand that by degrading our natural world, we're degrading all living species, including that species known as human.

Why are we so bent on hastening our end? When we have the knowledge, the history and the technology to do better?

Of course, I once read that were the human species to disappear, every other living species would rejoice. Gives one pause..at least it did me.
