I am almost finished my bachelors degree. My future hubby is in law school. Currently, we are living in New England and contemplating a move to North or South Carolina in a couple years to plant our roots, but with the economy being the way it is, I'm worried employment will be difficult to find, especially for an entry level attorney. I suppose I'm looking for reassurance or warnings now lol
My daughter in law is an attorney in Manhattan - 4 yrs experience as a litigator for an international firm. We'd love them to move down here...seems no market for attorneys currently. Also, the husband of one my co-workers is a fairly new attorney and was laid off in 2009, after working only one year for a Raleigh law firm.
Wow. That's not very reassuring at all is it? Lol Has your daughter in law applied anywhere?
No, she hasn't actually applied anywhere...did some sort of search and found almost nothing. I think if she were very serious, she would contact a headhunter.
LJD1010- Perhaps you should urge her to do so. In this economy right now, I think headhunters are worth the money.
