Miker,
I have heard so many good things about Wesley Chapel and the staff there. I am so glad that your first day was a good one, here's to many more.
Welcome to Union County!
Peggy

Thank You. Yes we are adjusting very well actually. It "feels" right.
Now that we're here, I'll try to add my perspective on the other side of the "Moving to NC" decision. At the moment, I figuring out where I'm going to put my tomato garden- lol

Glad you are getting settled in! Word of advice...where ever you plant...make it a raised garden bed....my children decided to plant a garden this year (cucumbers and carrots)..in the red clay soil...and it turned out to be some of the weirdest stuff I have ever seen (shape and taste....the dog liked it though).

Our kids are very positive about the schools here so far. Our son is in 5th and walks about a block to Torrence creek Elemetary. He's in a mobile unit but he really likes it and likes his teacher. We almost wish he were younger to take advantage of being so close to the school for more than a year.

Our daughter started 6th and so far she's enjoying it also. She's going to Bradley Middle. She likes all her teachers and changing classes. Art and typing (I think) were full for the first half of the year though so they put her into dance, which she and a most of the boys who got stuffed in there don't enjoy too much. Other than the longer middle school day she seems to come home in a good mood each day. Bus service so far has been very prompt for her but the bus is a little bit crowded and some kids are sitting on the floor.

As far as adjusting, personally I think both kids are doing great. It's part of why we moved to a new neighborhood. Both of our kids are making friends at home and at school.

Hey Mark, glad you shared. Gives a REAL parents view on a CMS school.

I would not like my child sitting on the floor of the bus, could be a safety issue. Is that allowed? Packed in there like sardines! Glad that your children are positive about school, that makes everyone happy when the kids come home with smiles.
