Does anyone have any information on this school? We are relocating to the Ft. Bragg area in June and are looking for safe neighborhoods and good schools (like everyone else, LOL!) for our 2 young kids. We were referred to this school by a real estate agent, but have not been able to find any online information about it, other than that it is a green building, as it is too new. I guess I'm most concerned about overall quality of both the school and the neighborhood. Any thoughts?
New Century took students from Stoney Point and Honeycutt, both pretty good schools themselves. The neighborhoods around New Century are for the most part middle/upper middle class for Fayetteville.
The only problem with New Century is that since they are new, they have a ton of new, young teachers. Combine that with the 'visiting' foreign teachers that are a part of the international program, and there are not a lot of veteran teachers who know the NC curriculum well. Test scores probably won't be as good as the other schools in the the area because of this.
Its an amazing building, and the school system put a lot of bells and whistles into it.
