Of course there is layoffs, no state immune from them, but that isnt topic of the thread.
The thread topic is cities with new jobs being created as stated in OP.

This is a good week for potential of 827 new jobs coming to the state. The RTP plans to hire next week and others are seeking applications.
Bring thread total up to 8067. We have passed last years new jobs threads numbers and more than double since this thread was started. Way to go North Carolina. I hope this thread helps those seeking work.

I was beginning to think there wasnt any new job news this week then these two posted today with plans to hire by September for Freightliner. These are good job producers too with a combine of 824 new jobs being created.
Bringing thread total 8891 new jobs for the year. I hope this thread is helpful to those looking for work.

Three companies plan to increase its existing work force up to 418 new jobs.
Bringing thread total of new jobs expected to 9309.

Piedmont
Charlotte call center to add 100 employees

AKG to add as many as 90 jobs in Mebane

Vitacost.com finished with Lexington expansion, expected to add at least 228 jobs

Sunny just asking. How many of those jobs are from new companies? I know that CAT is new. What about the rest. And maybe a general list of Company and location would be helpful.

Ill keep in mind when posting the links for the future but since there such a large amount of links which is good but it would be time consuming as the list stands now. I know from my memory that there is some from over seas investing in this state. and a bunch from other states locating here.The links that go to threads may provide answer to what your looking for.

This was a good announcement as requested in previous post Canadian investors in Buncombe County & Chinese solar panel maker investing in Charlotte and Californian company investing in Mooresville. This weeks new jobs being created is 876. Bring thread total of potential new jobs to 10185

Canadian Vehicle-parts maker to hire 400 for plant in Buncombe County

Piedmont
Compass Group to add 200 jobs in Charlotte

Solar-panel maker to open Charlotte factory employ as many as 36


Water bottler to open plant will employ 66 in Mooresville

Furniture maker to open factory will employ 75 in Conover


Seneca Medical to open distribution center employ 50 in Mocksville

Salisbury manufacturer to add 49 jobs
