Good! I hope people will buy this furniture rather than that crap that comes from China.

China is always the country that gets the blame but Indonesia & the Philippines are two other popular countries.
With high fuel prices shipping & increase production costs shipping large products is no longer feasible.
This advantage for this state its bringing back North Carolina to its roots.

Good to see a furniture company moving into NC so many have left. I hope it's only the beginning!

Absolutely agree! You are right - the furniture and often, carved furniture parts, are as much from Indonesia and the Philippines than from China. Sometimes, companies assemble those parts here in NC b/c in the past, it was cheaper to do that. Of course, the quality isn't always there and it took thousands of jobs away when manufacturers decided to go that route.
I hope this new plant is a beacon to encourage other plants to locate here. Furniture manufacturing used to be a huge business here in NC.
