Default Tarboro

I have been driving through Tarboro a few times a week for work and it looks like a nice small town. Anyone ever live there ? I have a job and Tarboro is in my territory. I love so employment is not an issue. the historic homes and downtown that is small but alive.

Lots of those small Eastern NC towns are "drying up" (most have already) and people are leaving if they can. I don't know if Tarboro is in that boat, but be careful it's not before you move there. Spend a weekend there, get out and walk around, check the parts of town you'd be living, shopping, eating, etc in before jumping. I hope it IS self-sustaining, but so much of NE NC has lost a lot of vibrancy since tobacco farming no longer rules. Good luck.

Living here ,Tarboro for more than 6 yrs,
you MUST go to church or.......your neighbors may not like you as much......
schools here are NOT doing well....so be prepare to pay and drive ( private school, are just o.k)...people here don't express personal opinions, always very politically correct,,,,,,,so boring ........( like a cookie cutter people)
I'am going to pay the price for this comments ,but don't really care......still here for very specific reasons........I wish Tarboro was open to embrace the world! ......but is not.
