I did find this. Donor leaves gift cards for Fayetteville police :: WRAL.com

Not everybody dislikes the Fayetteville Police
No link, I know the person this happened to. Not totally sure whether it was police or a private security guard.

Really, Fayetteville?
Where did you "hear" this??? This certainly would have made [i]The Fayetteville Observer[i] AND would have made the WRAL & WTVD news.

I dont know one thing about where you live but I agree. Rocky Mount is out of control I work there not live there and its tough.I see to much crime right in my face. The news reports it as the unemployment rate is so high they cant help it but I know different.I try to hire people every day and they cant pass the drug test or if they do they cant pass the background check. And if I do get someone to pass both I end up having to fire them later for theft. Its not the unemployment that hurts Rocky Mount its that is the way they prefer to live.Shoplift for what you need and sell the rest for drugs.

Come on, its dumb to bash Fayetteville when its super nice compared to Rock City.
That's because crime happens so often in Fayettehell they don't bother reporting half of it. So you don't hear all the stuff that happens here. Also if it's paradise, how comes half the convenience stores all have bullet proof glass in them? Also my ex g/f worked at one convenience store and has reported it has been robbed, vandalized and everything else in between more than once. They even installed metal shudders over all the windows and doors, but they still encountered people attempting to break in. I won't even go into all the car jackings and such that occur. So maybe Fayettehell isn't as bad as rocky Mount but by no means is it even remotely "paradise"...unless you want to consider the convenience of pawn shops, strip clubs, Wal Marts..all within a few city blocks of each other. now if only traffic weren't so bad w/o so many road rage incidents.
