Default Hickory, NC Apartment Info Needed Please

Can anyone recommend a safe, quiet apartment complex in Hickory, NC? Not knowing the area, we are not sure what part of town is best to live in. Thanks.

There are two Hickory's in NC. I assume you mean the one in Catawba county. If so, there really isn't bad section of Hickory. It is more where do you want to live, close to the mall, or on the out skirts. A few that I liked were Waterford Place and The Legends. I suggest you visit Hickory before moving there.
Good luck,
Don

We plan to look at those two. Also saw Villa's of Pebble Creek and Creekside online that look nice as well. Thanks for your input.

Mosteller Mansion looked beautiful online but the reviews were not good. We also just saw a place called Arglye Place. Does anyone know about that one?
How far is I-40 from the "outskirts"? Looked like Waterford Place, Villas at Pebble Creek and Creekside may be there?? The Legends look great so we will look there. Thanks.

I-40 pretty much runs directly through the center of the city.

The Legends area is actually a three part area of apartment complexes. The Legends, Forest Hills, and Mostellar Mansion. Mostellar being the more upscale and pricy, but the other two are also very nice and quiet. You would probably be happy with any of those.

The Legends sits up on a hill and it is a good view of Hickory looking north of the mall and theatre. Each apartment complex has its own outdoor pool, and tennis courts, but Mostellar has the indoor pool.

I live with my parents in Hickory and am currently looking for apartments. I've only heard bad things about Arglye -- bug problems, thin walls, and hearing people do "stuff" on top of you and beside you.

I used to live at Argyle Place about 5 years ago. It was nice. They were real quick to do any maintenance requests. They have great closets. It is a quiet area and there's a plaza right across the road. I'd live there again. I didn't have trouble with bugs. I lived on the bottom floor, so of course you can hear people but not like the other quote suggests. The management at that time were very nice and personable too.
