Yes i love my house and the lower taxes but it does not replace what truly matters in life and I wish you luck, and if Im still here if you decide to go for it,please let me know, you can at least start out by knowing someone friendly. Im only being honest about our experiences, Im told that if you go to Raleigh or one of the bigger cities its not quite as bad, but then you have more of the crime, housing prices are a little higher and i believe there is year round schooling to deal with the influx of new people which doesnt appeal to me personally. Where are you comming from by they way?

Tell your kids that being a "Cultured Yankee" is better than being a Redneck. Ive never understood why southerners think Yankee is a derogatory term. Im one and I carry that term with pride. Maybe they are just jellous that the North won the war.

I like Wilson....it is a city on the rise for sure.

But I cannot speak for anyone else. It will be different for sure if you are from New York.

Default wilson

i currently live in smithfield,nc and wilson is about 20minutes from me.i recently looked into moving to wilson and even took a ride over there and it is growing and has some pretty spots but the place is infested with gangs(crips)and latin gangs.the hiv ratio is high especially in young adults and the the crime rate is rising.if they can change things within the next year or so,wilson may not be such a bad place to live.they have to adopt a rackateering law in nc before these gangs can get the hint.they give a dope dealer or armed robbery suspect more time than they do a cold blooded murderer.now what were they thinking when they made these laws
