jamieshel88 is on a distinguished road
I recntly obtained a new homeowner's policy after relocating from out of state. I got quotes from AllState, State Farm and Nationwide. AllState and Nationwide both do credit checks and claims history. The rates involved your credit rating, how close you are to a fire hydrant, fire station, type of material the house is built out of, whether you have dead bolts, age of house among other things. I got the best quote from AllState and will get a better rate once I add my cars on.

We have our home insured through NC Farm Bureau, their rates are very reasonable. You do have to pay a $25 membership fee.
