Default thinking of relocating to NC

My boyfriend and I are looking to relocate to NC and needed some guidance. We don't have any idea of where to look and I thought someone could offer some help!

We would like to be at most 40 mins from a major airport.
We would like to live near a lake (max 20 mins away) in which we can kayak and hopefully swim.
We would like to buy a house for under $250,000

I have been reading a little and some people have suggested bryson city and mooresville. Are these any good and does anyone have any other suggestions???

Hey there, I PM'd you some info that you should take a look at, to answer your question yes the Mooresville area will afford lake access to Lake Norman and Steele Creek area will get you into Lake Wylie. Both of these lakes are reasonably close to Charlotte Dougals International and you can find housing in your price range.
